Parish of Aghaderg
The parish of Aghaderg is located in the Diocese of Dromore and is bounded on the north by the parish of Seapatrick, on the east by the parish of Annaclone, and on the south by the parish of Donaghmore and partly by the parish of Newry. The earliest church of Ireland records for Aghaderg were destroyed in Dublin in 1922. However, Scarva Church of Ireland has baptisms and marriages from 1814. There are three places of worship for Presbyterians, Loughbrickland Presbyterian Church, which is believed to have been founded by a number of Scottish settlers shortly after 1610. The earliest baptismal and marriage records only date from 1842. The Presbyterian Church in Glaskermore (Seceding Church) has the earliest baptismal and marriage records that date from 1780 with gaps. The third place of worship, Scarva Presbyterian Church has baptismal records from 1807 and marriages from 1814. These have not been examined.
