The Parish of Antrim


Antrim Church of Ireland has baptismal, marriage and burial registers dating from 1700: baptisms, 1700-55 and 1785-1871; marriages 1700-56, 1788-1845, burials 1700-54 and 1786-1871. The First Antrim Presbyterian Church has early baptismal and marriage records: baptisms 1677-1733, 1753-85, 1791-2, and 1820-1960; marriages 1675-1736, 1820-39; deaths 1820-35. The Second Antrim (high Street) Presbyterian Church has baptisms from 1850 and marriages from 1863. The Wesleyan Methodist (circuit) Church has baptisms from 1819 and marriages from 1836. I have only examined the First Presbyterian Church records.

Baptism of Mary Milligan daughter of James Milligan.

January 29, 1681
Baptism of George Milligan son of James Milligan.

November 16, 1706
Proclamation of marriage between Thomas Carlyle of Conner and Agnes Milligan.

March 5, 1721
Proclamation of marriage between Heugh Eiken and Margaret Milligan of Drummual.
