The Parish of Carnteel


The parish of Carnteel in County Tyrone is bounded by the following parishes; it is bounded to the northwest by Errigal Keerogue, to north by Killeeshil and east by Aghaloo and south by County Monaghan. Carnteel Church of Ireland has vestry minutes dating from 1712 onwards and baptismal, marriage and burial registers commencing from 1805. I have not examined these. Aughnacloy Presbyterian Church has baptismal and marriage registers dating from 1812 onwards. I have only examined them until 1842.
