Parish of Donaghmore
The parish of Donaghmore in County Tyrone is bounded by the following parishes, to the north by the parish of Pomeroy, to the east by Drumglass, to the south by Clonfecale and to the west by Killeeshill. It lies in the Diocese of Armagh and Barony of Middle Dungannon. Donaghmore Church of Ireland has baptism from 1748, marriages and burials from 1741 onwards, with an Index of baptisms 1748-1883, Index of marriages 1741-1883 and Index burials 1741-1883. Extracts for the Church of Ireland are available on the County Tyrone Genealogical Research Website and cover the period 1742-1825. Carland Presbyterian has baptisms 1759-1899 and Marriages 1700-1802. Carland was the earliest Presbyterian Church established in Co. Tyrone. Founded in 1646, its members included some of the area's earliest Presbyterian families. The Church register is transcribed in a typed copy at PRONI in Belfast, and original church booklets are at the Presbyterian Historical Society, also in Belfast.
