November 1, 1591
Testament dative of Margaret Gordon, spouse to George Campbell, younger of Shankston in the shire of Ayr, who died on November 1, 1591, given up by the said George Campbell, in name of Charles, John and Margaret Campbell, their lawful children. The estate is valued to �156, being farm stock and plenishing. They were due �50 to John Mullikyn in Blakmyre, with fees to servants named William and Bessie Boyle and Margaret Mullikyn. Confirmed and caution found.

August 10, 1602
Instrument of Sasine in favour of George Dunbar and Marion Amuligan, his future wife by John Dunbar of Knockschinnoch of the 2 merkland of the 40s. land of Pencloe and the one merkland of Over Park in the barony of Cumnock. On a marriage contract dated July 31, 1602, between John Dunbar and George his son and heir apparent on the one part and Margaret McMath, relict of the deceased John Amuligane of Blakmyre, James Amuligane of Blakmyre, Thomas, John and Robert Amiligane, his brothers, and Mariot Amiligane, his sister, on the other part. Witnesses of precept include Hugh Dunbar in Knockschinnoch.

July 21, 1605
Instrument of Sasine narrating that George Dunbar of Knockschinnoch infeft Mariot Amiligane his wife in the annual rent to be uplifted from the 40 shilling lands of Pencloe in the parish of Cumnock.

November 6, 1605
Instrument of Renunciation by George Campbell, younger of Shankston, Marion Kennedy, his spouse, and Hew Campbell in Woodside, in favour of George Dunbar now of Knockshinnoch, son and heir of the deceased John Dunbar of Knockshinnoch, who was assignee from William Dunbar, elder, and William Dunbar, younger of Enterkin to a reversion granted by them for redemption for 1000 merks of a 20s. land of the 40s. lands of Pencloe in the barony of Cumnock, sold to the said George Campbell and Marion Kennedy, his spouse, and afterwards by them to the said Hew Campbell of Woodside, and the redemption money having now been paid to them, they grant the discharge thereof and renounce the lands. Dated at Cumnock November 6, 1605, and witnessed by Robert McCubbin in Bridgend, John Lennox, servitor to the said George Campbell, Robert Lockhart, notary, Hew Dunbar of Lochgilloch.

Instrument of Sasine narrating that George Dunbar of Knockschinnoch and Mariot Amiligane his spouse did infeft Patrick Gemmell, burgess of Ayr, and Margaret Campbell his wife, in the 20 shilling land in the south of the 40 shilling lands of Pincloe, following a charter directed to Hugh Dunbar baillie of Lochingerroch.

Testament dative of inventory of Marion Millikan spouse of George Dunbar of Knockschinnoch who died in November, 1614, given up by George in name and behalf of John, George, Margaret, Bessie and Sara Dunbar, lawful bairns of the defunct. Inventory - the said umqll. Marion and her husband had a black nag, a brown mare, and a foal, a 2 year old filly, a dun nag, ky, 6 stotts, 4 quoys, bull? toddoch, 22 sheep, 12 hogs, oats, beir. Insight of the house, utensils and domicils, abulziements of the defunct's body. Total �650. 6s. 8d. Debts owed by the deceased include - to Hew Dunbar of Lochingerroch �86. 13s. 4d. Sums of debts �1,188. Debts exceed goods.

June 2, 1632
Instrument of Sasine in favour of John Campbell of Garrallan in the one merkland of Lanemark in the barony of Cumnock, disponed to him by George Campbell of Lanemark and Sara Crawford, his spouse, by a charter dated at Cumnock May 29, 1632, and witnessed by Mrs. John Shaw, minister of Auchinleck, William Hutcheson, lawful son of John Hutcheson in Terringzean, Andrew Gemmell, messinger, and William Campbell in Over Glaisnock. Sasine was given up by William Campbell in Over Glaisnock, as baillie, and witnessed by James McMichael in Lorgfoot, James McMichael, his son and heir, John Dunbar of Knochshinnoch and John Amiligane in Holm of Dalquhairn.

Instrument of Renunciation by William McCubbin, burgess of Ayr, in favour of John Campbell of Skankston of the piece of the lands of Shankston called Bridgend, which was wadset by him to the deceased Patrick McCubbin, the renouncer�s father, for 380 merks, and which has now been repaid. Dated at Garden October 20, 1641, and witnessed by John Dunbar of Knockshinnoch, Charles Campbell son to John Campbell, sometime in Newmilns, John Stillie in Garden, John McCubbin in Barr and Patrick Crawford, notary in Cumnock.

Testament dative of Elizabeth Milliken spouse of Robert McMichael in Craigdarroch in the parish of Cumnock who died in April 1644. Her husband was her executor dative. It records the details of an Inventory. A grey horse, an old mare, 15 cows and 2 heifers, 10 score old sheep, 3 score hogs, the sewing of seven bolls of oats, and 3 firlotts of bear (barley), the furniture and household goods and her clothes.

Debts owed to the defunct �� �200.
Debts owed by the defunct �� �316 13s 4d.
The free gear with the debts deducted � 756.
This was to be divided into three parts, so there were children. The defunct�s part was �252.
The cautioner was John Campbell of Skankston.

Testament dative of Margaret Mulligane of an inventory of goods etc. at the time of her death. She was servitrix to Agnes McBraidie, and she died in the month of (blank) 1600 etc years. The executor dative was her brother german Robert Mulligane in Cumnock, Ayrshire.
Inventory:
She was owed in wages �84 and the combined sum of �10 6/8d by two other people.
This made in all �94 6/8d.
She owed no debts out.
No name of cautioner given.

January 23, 1674
Instrument of Sasine in favour of Adam Dalrymple by James Tennent lawful son of John Tennent in Cumnock attorney to Adam Dalrymple son and heir of the late Charles Dalrymple sailor burgess of Ayr. Adam Dalrymple compeared to me notary public, with a precept of sasine for an annual rent of �35 on a principal sum of �94 inherited from his father on the half merk lands of Woodheid, in the barony of Cunningham, dated at Ayr on January 19, 1672, and witnessed by Gilbert Clerk merchant and Andrew McCrae there. The Sasine was given at 12 am. Witnessed by William Campbell in Woodheid, Hugo Campbell writer in Cumnock, William Millikine servitor to William Broun in Cumnock and James Wood lawful son to Charles Wood in Knockhuron. John Fergusone was notary public.

Compeared James Tennent son to John Tennent in Cumnock as attorney for Agnes and Jean Wylie bairnes of the deceased George Wylie in Herne upon the ground of the 20/- land of Garloff lying within the barony of Cunningham and sheriffdom of Ayr, holding a certain disposition and assignation containing a precept of sasine, made and granted by Robert Jamesone in Herne and directed to Hew Campbell in Knockhuron his bailie in that part, to infeft Agnes and Jean Wylie in the annual rent corresponding to the principal sum of 500 merks of the lands of Carloff. The precept was made on April 7, 1673, with the witnesses Andro Brown of Duncanziemere, John Wallace of Carnolloch, William Campbell of Glaisnock and the said John Ferguson. The sasine was given at 12 am on January 3, 1674, and was witnessed by William Campbell in Woodheid, Hugh Campbell tailor in Cumnock, William Millikine servitor to William Broun in Cumnock, and James Wood in Knokhuron. John Ferguson was notary public.

Baptism of James Milliken son natural to James Milliken in Cumnock being presented by Bessie Din mother of the child born in fornication in regard the said James was under the sin of incest with said Bessie his sister and the said Bessie herself having given public satisfaction for her fornication was absolved.

Proclamation of Janet Milliken [in the parish of Cumnock*] and James Thom in the parish of Coylton were proclaimed on the 27th of November, and 4th and 11th of December, 1785.

Proclamation of John Milliken in the parish of Auchinleck and Margaret Maitland newly come into this parish were by mutual requisition proclaimed on the 26th day of September but the certificate in favour of said Margaret Maitland appearing suspicious in the consequence of inaccuracies their proclamation is discontinued till the evidence is authenticated.
