St. Quivox Parish Church Records

The parish church of St. Quivox is bounded by Monkton to the northwest, Tarbolton to the northeast, Coylton to southeast, and Newton-on-Ayr to the southwest. The earliest Baptismal and Marriage registers date from 1735. The village of Wallacetown and district of Content, consisting of a number of streets adjoining to Newton, were both located in the parish of St. Quivox in 1837. A new church of the establishment was erected in Content in 1834, and opened 8th March, 1835. The earliest baptismal and marriage registers for St. Quivox date from 1735.
