Keir Parish Church Records

The parish of Keir is bounded on the west by Glencairn; on the northwest by Tynron; on the north by Penpont; on the east by Closeburn and the river Nith; on the southeast by Kirkmahoe: and south by Dunscore. The parish was originally a pendicle of the abbey and parish of Holywood and has baptismal records from April 1722, marriages and burials from 1721 until 1791 with a gap until 1826. The session records begin in 1692.
