Dalry Parish Church Records


The parish of Dalry is bounded on the north by the parish of New Cumnock in Ayrshire, on east by Glencairn, on south by Balmaclellan, and on the west and southwest by Carsphairn and Kells. The parish church is located in St. John�s Town of Dalry, and has baptismal registers dating from 1691, and marriages and burials from 1758. The Churchyard of Dalry has had pre-1855 Monumental Inscriptions copied and indexed and these Milligans listed are transcribed below.

Also here lyes the corps of Robert Milligan in Glenshimeroch who departed this life April 6, 173[1] aged 4[0/8] and husband to the deceased Margaret Hoatson.

(West side) Also his second wife Marion McWilson who died January 22, 1805, aged 86 years.
