Lochrutton Parish Church Records

The parish of Lochrutton is bounded on the north by the parish of Kirkpatrick-Irongray, on the east by the parishes of Terregles and Troqueer, on the south by the parishes of Kirkgunzeon and New Abbey and on the west by the parish of Urr. There are baptismal registers from 1698 with a gap between 1700 and 1728. The marriages have gaps between 1699 and 1736, 1741 and 1749, 1752 and 1766 and 1790 and 1841. Between 1748 and 1779 there are no recorded Milligan baptisms. There are also mortcloth dues between 1766 and 1790.
