New Abbey Parish Church Records

The parish of New Abbey is bounded on the north by the parish of Troqueer, on the east by the Solway Firth, on the south by the parishes of Colvend and Kirkbean, and on the west and northwest by the parish Kirkgunzeon and Lochrutton. There are baptismal, marriage and burial registers from 1691 to 1854. Nearly all the Milligans listed in this parish lived in the vicinity of Locharthur bounding the parish of Lochrutton.
