Dalrymple to Jenkins

Know all men by these presents that I Chancy Dalrymple have this day for the consideration hereinafter presented bargained and
sold to A. J. Jenkins & Co the following property to wit one grey stud horse four years old last spring and white Cow One red cow and one specled cow also one wagon all of which property is now on the place on which I reside upon this condition however that the said Dalrymple stands indebted to the said A. J. Jenkins & Co. in the sum of one hundred and three Dollars & 44 cents bearing this days date and due one day after date also one note for Two hundred and seventeen dollars & fifty cents dated November 4th 1849 and due on or before the 21st of the same month also one note on David P. Grey & Chancy Dalrymple
for sixteen dollars & 3 cts dated October the 27th 1849 and due one day after date. Now should the said Chancey Dalrymple, well and truly pay off the note aforesaid and all interest which may accrue thereon on or before the 25th day of December next then the foregoing conveyance to be null and void otherwise to remain in full force & virtue. County of Nodaway }ss Be it remembered that on this 22nd say of November in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and forty nine before me Amos Garland, Clerk of the Circuit Court in and for said County personally appeared Chancey Dalrymple who os personally known to me to be the person whose name is subscribed to the within and foregoing instrument of writing as having executed the same as party thereto and acknowledged the same to be his act and deed for the purposes therein mentioned.
In testimony whereof I haveunto signed my name and affixed my private seal there being no seal of Court yet provided at office this day and year last aforesaid. Amos Graham, Recorder.
