This indenture made and entered into this fourth day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand eight-hundred and fifty eight by and between Chancy Dalrymple and Rebecca Dalrymple his wife of the County of Nodaway and State of Missouri of the first part and Edward F. Stinson of the County of Nodaway and State of Missouri of the second part. Witnesseth: That the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Eight hundred and forty Dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the second part the receipt whereof is hereby confessed and acknowledged have given grant ed bargained and Sold and by these presents do give grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever three certain tracts pieces or parcels of land laying and being in the County of Nodaway and State of Missouri. To Wit:
The North half of the South East quarter of Section 23 twenty three, of Township No 65 Sixty five of Range 36 thirty six. Also: the South half of the North East quarter of section 26. twenty six: Also the North East one fourth of the South East quarter of Section 26 twenty six: Also the North West one fourth of the South West quarter of Section twenty two 22: Also the South West fourth of the North West quarter of Section 22 twenty two in the above named range and Township.
To have and to hold the said tracts pieces or parcels of land with all the privileged and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining unto him the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever: And the said party of the first part for themselves heirs executors and administrators do covenant and agree that they will warrant and forever defend the title to the said tracts pieces or parcels of land and every part thereof unto him the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever. Be it remembered that on this fourth day of January in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and fifty eight-before the undersigned a Justice of the Peace within and for the County of Nodaway personally appeared Chancy Dalrymple and Rebecca Dalrymple his wife who are personally known to the undersigned to be the persons whose names are prescribed to the foregoing instrument of writing as parts thereto and acknowledged the same to be their act and deed for the
purposes therein contained the said Rebecca Dalrymple being by the undersigned first made acquainted with the contents of the foregoing instrument of writing on an examination separate and apart from said husband acknowledges on such examination that She executes the same and relinquished her dower in the real estate therein mentioned freely without compulsion or undue
influence of her said husband. In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year last above written (signed) John H Harrens (?)
