John C. Deweese to Samuel H. Deweese

This indenture Witnesseth that John C. Deweese of Barren county hath for the consideration of two dollars and Nine cents per acres and by these presents doth sell to Samuel H. Deweese of the same county forty four acres and 8 poles of Land at the above rates per acre and the said John C. Deweese & Samuel H Deweese have also ____ and exchanged one hundred twenty poles of land adjoining all laying in the said County of Barren. Whereby John C Deweese in Consideration of the Said Sum of two dollars and nine cents per acre and the exchange afore Said doth hereby convey to Samuel H Deweese forty four acres three Roads and thirty five poles of land bounded as follows Beginning at a beech in Bryans line thence with Bryans line S15W47 1/2 poles to a fallen White Oak on the top of Beaver Creek hill thence S84E125 poles to a beech & White Oak thence S610W27 1/2 poles to a dogwood thence N44E52 !/2 poles to a Stake near a cherry thence N88 1/2 E passing the cherry 27 poles to a steak in the old line thence S56E30 poles to a gum & post oak thence N36E9 3/4 poles to a sassafrass thence North 14W7 1/2 poles to a small chestnut growing from a root thence S88 1/2W passing the steak and cherry Corner 201 poles to the Beginning and the Said Samuel H. Deweese Conveyed to John C. Deweese the afore Said one hundred and twenty poles to the corner thence N88 1/2E27 poles to the Stake in the old line thence with the old line N36W20 poles to the corner thence S44W14 poles to the beginning. The Said John & Samuel to have and to hold the Respective parcels free from all and every persons what ever In Testemony where of the Said John C Deweese & Martha his wife & Samuel H Deweese & Charlotte his wife have here unto Set their hands & Seals this 22 day of March 1855
