J. T. Deweese to James Gooding

This deed of conveyance from John T Deweese and Martha E. Deweese his wife to James Gooding. Witnesseth that the said Deweese has this day bargained and sold unto the said Gooding a certain tract or parcel of land in Barren Co. Ky. and on the waters of Barren Fork and containing fifty acres for the consideration of two hundred and seventy four dollars in hand paid and is bounded as follows. Beginning at a stone, thence N92 poles to stone ____ course 20 1/2 poles to _______ thence 85E61 1/2 poles to a white oak and hickory, thence South 71E22 1/2 to a white oak on a dry branch, thence South 42 1/2 poles to a small white oak, thence west 15 1/2 poles to a hickory thence South 60 poles to a stone in Mary J. Shives line, thence west 68 poles to the beginning containing fifty acres. To have and to hold unto the said James Gooding and his heirs and assigns forever and the said Deweese doth hereby sell, bargain and convey said boundary unto said Gooding with covenants of General Warenty. In testamony whereof the said Dewees and wife hav this 3rd day of Dec. 1887 set their hands and seal.
