1860
By 1860 the majority of the children of David and Rhoda Chandler Deweese remain in the Barren County Kentucky area. However, daughters Mary and Jincy have relocated with their young families to Iowa in Jasper and adjascent Marion counties. Some of the children of these families, grandchildren of David and Rhoda, also reside in the vacinity of their parents. Youngest son of David and Rhoda, Cornelius, remains in Illinois, having wed and begun his own family.
Descendants are beginning to venture farther afield, 2nd daughter of Jincy Deweese Piper, granddaughter of David and Rhoda, and her family, have removed to Missouri, "frontier country" in 1860.
