A search of the 1860 Slave Schedule for Barren County Kentucky reveals, on page 11, that the elderly Rhoda Chandler Deweese did not soley reside with her young granddaughter, but had The assistance of two young slaves, aged 20 and 16, in the home, along with, presumably, a 3 yr old son of one of the young women.
