We encourage each Anderson DNA participate to contribute a Genealogy Report/Lineage about their Anderson lineage. The Genealogy Report/Lineage information is posted on the Anderson & Andersen DNA Project webpages. Please view each person's webpage from the Groups section by clicking on one of the group numbers. This information is vital to understanding or learning how you are related to someone you match with DNA-wise. Or, if you don't match with anyone else, the possibility of matching with another person grows as we add new members to the database. As of June 20, 2007 we had 191 members. That means we increased our members on a yearly basis at approximately 50 persons each year. That's pretty good! All you have to do to get started is join the Anderson DNA Project for the testing and then submit your Genealogy Report/Lineage information. It's just that easy! Some of the ways the information helps you in your search is: The information tells us the time frame when your ancestors lived in a particular state; we know when someone was born or died; who they married and when. The information requested for your lineage is critical to helping others know who your ancestors were, and when and where your ancestors lived in making a connection with you. Anderson researchers can not make a determination about who a John Anderson was without dates and places. Why? Because John Anderson's are all over the place! Information about living individuals will not be posted on the Anderson & Andersen Family DNA web site unless we have permission to do so.
