OBITUARY
DEATH OF MR.
AARON ARDRON, OF SWINTON.
We regret to announce the death
of Mr. Aaron Ardron, of Swinton, which took place on Wednesday week, at his
residence in Charles Street. Deceased was formerly employed at Messrs.
Hattersley’s works up to September, two years ago, since which time he has been
ill. Only two days before his death a concert was given on his behalf, the
proceeds of which (£10) has been handed to the widow. Of a genial, bright
disposition, deceased was well respected, and the greatest sympathy was
expressed for him in his long and trying illness, which, despite all that could
be done for him, culminated in his death as stated. He had been up on
Wednesday, but was taken worse, the cause of death being consumption. He leaves
a widow and three children. The funeral took place on Sunday at the parish
churchyard, the bearers being Messrs. Hy. Hattersley, T. Thompson, J. Banks, M.
Keyworth, H. Myers, L. Mangham, M. Fowler and E. Brayshaw. The mourners were:

the hearse and mourning coaches. The coffin was of pitch-pine, and bore the
inscription: “Aaron Ardron, died December 3rd, 1902; aged 39 years.” There were
a number of floral wreaths, including the widow, father and mother, Mr. and
Mrs. George Ardron, Mr. Turner, Mr. and Mrs. Grant, Mr. and Mrs. Salkeld, Mr.
and Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Dickenson, Mrs. Immisson.
