David tragically died on Wednesday 19 August 2015 following a serious collision whilst cycling on Bagshot Road, Bracknell. Emergency services were called shortly after 10am to the scene, after reports of a collision between a cyclist and a silver Audi A3. A 40-year-old man from Surrey was bailed until Friday 28th August after being arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop. The crash closed the road for around four hours. (Get Reading news website)

The Bracknell News reported:

“The Bracknell man who died in a fatal hit and run collision on Wednesday, August 19, by the Horse and Groom roundabout in Bracknell, has been named. David Ardron, 68 of Great Hollands, was cycling along the Bagshot Road at 10.05am when he was in a collision with a silver Audi A3. Motorists stopped to help him before emergency services arrived. Police and ambulance crews, including the air ambulance, were sent to the crash site but he was pronounced dead at the scene.”
(Bracknell News) I met David and his family on a small number of ocassions; David was a warm and welcoming person.
