He made his last will on 18 April 1969. The executors and trustees were Cyril Inkpen of 23 Osbourne Street, Grimsby and his daughter Dorothy Ida Baker of 18 Bushey Court, Bushey Park, Raynes Park, London, SW20. His will gave:

Edgar died on 15 March 1970 at Fryston House, Bargate, Grimsby aged 86. The cause of death was (a) acute on chronic left ventricular heart failure (b) myocardial infraction and fibrosis (c) coronary artery atheronia. He was born 28 September 1884 at Kimberworth, Yorks [slightly different location to his birth certificate]. The informant was Cyril Inkpen. Death was certified by Peter W. Gladwin, Coroner for the County Borough of Grimsby, after post mortem without inquest. He was cremated. (GRO cert QBDX170974 + GRO ref Grimsby 3b 812 Mar 1970 - [aged] 86)

His will was probated on 12 August 1970: "Ardron, Edgar of Fryston Old Peoples Home Grimsby died 15 March 1970. Probate Nottingham 12 August. £21,008" (Wills & Admons 1972, Family Division of the High Court)

She was born on 22 February 1884 in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, the daughter of Fred Davison, a labourer, and Eliza.

Ada died on 14 December 1954 aged 70 at 110a Scarthoe Road, Grimsby. Though she was resident at 69 Alexandra Road, Grimsby. (Wills & Admons 1955 + GRO ref Grimsby 3b 219 Dec 1954 - [aged] 70)

Her will was probated on 21 February 1955: "Ardron, Ada of 69 Alexandra Road, Grimsby (wife of Edgar Ardron) died 14 December 1954 at 110a Scarthoe Road, Grimsby. Probate Lincoln 21 February to Harold Andrew Holden, solicitor and the said Edgar Ardron, provisions merchant clerk. Effects £1191 15s. 6d." (Wills & Admons 1955, Family Division of the High Court)
