UPDATED AUGUST 2008

Contact  Vicki  if you find one of your ancestors pictured on this site. Please state your relationship. Vicki's interest in genealogy lead her to collecting 'homeless' Ashland County, Ohio pictures, hoping to reunite them with family. She continues to attend auctions, visit antique shops, and so on, in hopes of finding more 'lost ancestors'.

This set contains 122 pictures. A little less than half were photos taken at an Ashland, Ohio studio. Unfortunately only one was identified - John SPECK and wife. There were another 6 pictures identified but none were by an Ashland studio; the surnames are: GARRETT, HUDSON (2), LAUTENSCHLAGER (possibly 2) and COCKRAN. One appears to belong to an Armstrong family with connections to Columbiana County, Ohio. Many signatures were from Enterprise, Kansas. The other has a Holmes County, Ohio connection and a few signatures from Stanwood, Iowa. There appears to be a Shank connection. The third book belonged to Mamie Flowers. (21 May 2004)

YARD SALE
ORANGE
TOWNSHIP
This set of portraits was Vicki's first ancestor rescue, about ten years ago. Touched by the thoughts no one wanted them, her first rescue took place. Unfortunately only the first
four pictures were identified and the album they were stored in has long since disintegrated. There is a mixture of studio areas: Ashland OH, New London OH, Oberlin OH, Plymouth OH, Wakeman OH, Cleveland OH, Chattanooga TN, Crawfordsville IN, Janesville WI, Santa Barbara CA, Syracuse Neb, and Canandaigua NY. The connection and names awaits just the right person to view this rescued set. [11 May 2004
