Dear Cousin Henry J.:

I desire to inform you of the death of our beloved friend Rev. Dr. J B Thompson of Trenton N.J.  I send to you a slip cut from the morning paper.  I had not heard that he was very ill, but it seems that he has been so for some time.

     ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~ ~~

I also send to you a slip cut  from this week’s county paper showing you of the death of Isaac Dernberger who was a grandson of Peter Aten.  Isaac was about 63 or 64 years old at the time of his death.

Dr. Thompson was a man of great intelligence and you and he have had a good deal of pleasant correspondence.  As I learn more about his death I will write you some more and more fully.

We are all well at my home at this time, and I hope that you are all well at your home.--

We are having fine weather out around here now.  It was very dry for some weeks but we have had some good rains lately.  I will be pleased to hear from you at any time that you may be moved to write to me.       We all send love and kind regards to you all in your western home.  Yours very respectfully                    Nicholas Harris
