Nicholas Harris   Counsellor-at-Law         Belvidere  N.J.     June 4th  1912

Dear Cousin Henry J.:

Your letter duly received.  I still have that annoying complaint, The Rheumatism.  The remedy you sent to me—“Sal Hepatica” we have had that for several years.  We have a bottle in the house now.

Today June 4th  1912, is my birthday. I am 60 years old today. I feel I am growing old.  I send to you herewith a nice plain card of the picture of the Delaware Valley.  Also I send another one marked as you requested.  I hope that

you will be able to locate the places I have marked as you wished.

(1) Back a little is the farm home on the hill of Nicholas Albertson

(2) Is about where Aten’s Ferry is—or was when it was Aten’s Ferry.

(3) Is about where the old Aten burying ground is located

(4) Is on the old farm where Dirck Aten lived and on which the ferry was and Grave Yard is.

(5) Is on lands that belonged to Hendrick Aten.

X  That is about where you, Dr. Thompson, Aaron Thompson and I walked in August 1898 and where you stood and looked over across in Penna.  You no doubt remember it.

We are all reasonably well (except my rheumatism. Hope you are all well at your home.  With kind regards  I am very respectfully          Nicholas Harris

In left margin of both pages:
