The following analyses of Audsley residences around the worls was taken from 'The World Book of Audsleys', published in 1996. Although this cannot be regarded as a definitive list of where all the Audsley families were located it does provide a reasonable proxy measure of the surname's world distribution at that time.

Clearly, the above table indicates that the Audsley name continues to be most strongly represented in England, and within this country there continued to be a strong tendancy for families to have remained relatively close to their West Riding of Yorkshire roots. Many county boundaries have changed significantly over the years and new English counties have also been created for administrative purposes. The total Audsley residences for 'old Yorkshire', which would be approximately:

represented 54.5% of the UK residences and 35.6% of the whole world population listed.

Other key locations around the World where there was some concentration of the Audsley family name, include the US State of Missouri (21) and the Australian States of New South Wales (33) and Victoria (18), to which members of Audsley families are known to have emigrated in the mid-19th century.

The 1996 residence listing suggests a number of single member households, i.e. unmarried women, widows etc., and therefore, assuming:

it would indicate there may have been a World population of between 1200 and 1600 carriers of the Audsley surname at the time.
