BOLICK AMERICAN REVOLUTION DOCUMENTS We are fortunate enough to have written documentation of two of our Bolick men during the American Revolution. Casper Bolick actually served and my 5th great grandfather, Jacob Bolick/Bolch was considered a Patriot for donating food and supplies. I found some documentation in the Stokely Memorial Library in Newport, Cocke Co. Tennessee that Anna Evelyn Parrott, wife of James Hatcher Graham had applied to the DAR for membership. Evelyn descends through Anna Caroline Balch Parrott, dtr of John Andrew Balch, son of Joseph Adam Balch & Polly Bollinger. Joseph is the son of Johann Adam Bolick & Elizabeth Mouser. Johann Adam Bolick, son of Jacob Bolick & Maria Salome Greim/Grimes. I knew these records were in Raleigh, NC archives, but I hadn't written for documentation yet, but I will be ordering those documents shortly. However, I was able to obtain part of the documentation and I plan to order a tombstone for Jacob and place it in the Bolch Cemetery in Hickory, Catawba Co. North Carolina at a future time. There won't be time to get it ordered and back when we do the dedication October 20, 2007 for the civil war vets. This will give anyone who descends from Jacob documentation to join the DAR if they choose to do so. I will, also, order a tombstone for Casper and plan another dedication for both of them at the Bolch Cemetery.
