In 1971 my Grandmother, Leenorah (Ballanger) Ayer buried four gravemarkers, marking off 5 burial plots. One plot of course was already occupied by my Uncle, Ritchie Ayer. The markers were made by Leenorah, Earl, and Randall Ayer. Thet consisted of a coffee can filled with cement with 1 letter marked in each of them - A, Y, E, R. Over the years, the soil and grass consumed the cans and they were lost to history. Just this year (2006) my father (Randall Ayer), my son (Owen Ayer), my daughter (Katelyn Ayer), and myself with the help of a metal detector found these markers and revealed them. The markers were moved one row to the East to mark off an additional 5 plots.
