BORN KROHN--To Mr. and Mrs. KROHN of Tempe, January 7, a nine-pound son at the Brechan hospital.
BEASLEY -- To Mr. and Mrs. Frank BEASLEY, 1239 Twelfth Street, Santa Monica, California, January 5, a daughter.
OBITUARY ONA LEE LAMAR, a music teacher, died Tuesday night, January 9, at the home of her brother, Ray E. BUTLER, near Alhambra, of influenza. She was 28 years of age. Rev. J. A. WAITES of Central Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Funeral of Mrs. O. A. KANE -- The funeral of Mrs. O. A. KANE, who died Monday, January 6, will be from the Whitney undertaking parlors . . . The procession will move to St. Mary's church. Mr. KANE, who was ill with influenza at the hospital at the time of Mrs. Kane's death, is now recovered.
P. O. Clerk Ill -- Victor P. MASON, financial clerk at the post office, is confined to his home this week with an illness said to be bordering closely on the influenza.
Guild Meetings Postponed On account of the ban on public and private gatherings the meetings of the Junior Guild have been indefinitely postponed.
Mrs. H. C. HEARD is reported to be improving after a week's illness with symptoms of the flu. Mrs. HEARD is the wife of the County Agricultural Agent, HEARD.

WIFE ASKS DIVORCE -- When she found her husband, ORSON ALLRED, was not faithful to her, Mrs. HAZEL ALLRED refused to live with him, she asserts in a divorce complaint...Mrs. ALLRED charges her husband with extreme cruelty in the action brought by Cox and Moore. The ALLRED's were married in February, 1917.
OLD TIME RESIDENT HERE -- JAMES GILMORE, old-time resident of Phoenix, arrived here from Canada to visit his wife's people, the well-known HEDGEPATH family of this city. Mr. GILMORE was one of the early homeseekers in Phoenix, coming to Arizona in 1887 and remaining here about fifteen years. Both of Mr. GILMORE's sons served in the first contingent that Canada sent to France, and both were killed in action.
FROM AJO WED HERE -- A romance of a mining camp culminated in the marriage yesterday of Miss IVY ELLIOT to Cecil LYNCH, who motored from Ajo to Phoenix where the service was read. The young couple were chaperoned by Miss DELLA LEFURGY, who, with JACK MILLER, witnessed the ceremony. After a month's honeymoon the young people will return to Ajo where LYNCH is connected with the New Cornelia mine in capacity of engineer.
THESE WILL MARRY -- Marriage licenses were issued yesterday to George S. WILLIAMS, 25, Phoenix, and Edna ROBERTS, 18, Phoenix; James PSARAKAS, 25, Phoenix, and Francisca ESPASIA, 19, Phoenix; Cecil LYNCH, 22, Ajo, and Ivy ELLIOT, 20, Ajo; Bartolo SANCHEZ, 23, Chandler, and Matilda MAURRIETTA, 18, Chandler; WILLIAM K. BARNES, 25, Glendale, and Grace BRANNON, 22, Glendale; Charles Richard TONNEMAN, 35, Ray, and Linnie Altha PAGE, 21, Phoenix.
DIDN'T SUPPORT WIFE -- "Father gave us all our provisions," repeated the court interpreter to Judge STANFORD yesterday for Elisa F. SOTO who on the witness stand declared that her people had to provide her with everything after her marriage to Martin SOTO. Even the worldly goods showered upon SOTO failed to make him happy, and he deserted his bride 28 days after their wedding, said the pretty Mexican girl. In granting the divorce decree, Judge STANFORD permitted the plaintiff the right to resume her maiden name Elisa ORDUNA.
CHILDREN GET ESTATE -- Bertha CLARK of Phoenix and Mary MUMMA of Los Angeles are bequeathed $1,000 each by the terms of the will of their mother, Mrs. Elizabeth PHILLIPS. . . Mrs. CLARK and Mrs. MUMMA are to share with J. C. PHILLIPS and Stephen K. PHILLIPS of Phoenix and Willard K. PHILLIPS of Fulton County, California.
