	Info: I have been researching the name Balam or over twenty different spellings of it for a few years around the district of Bury St.Edmunds, especially Ixworth, Sapiston etc. Whilst at S.O.G. traced 'The Visitations of Norfolk' 1563,1589 and 1613 which says that the name originates from Guernsey(Garnesey) with a William Balam.

	Info: My 8xgt. grandfather was Thomas Ballam who died in 1674 at Brading, Isle of Wight, England. His daughter Frances Ballam 1661-1698 married Aaron Walker 1654-1720. They also lived in Brading. Interested in exchanging information with anyone else working on this family.
