Andrew was born and babtized a Lutheran, but he became a Catholic when he married Elizabeth Walley.  His second wife was also a Catholic.

His grave marker in the Saint Mary's Catholic Church cemetery is prone in the ground and eroding.  Bernie Clark had a brass name plate affixed to the stone with the accepted spelling of his name.  The stone had misspelled his name.  I have copies of his baptismal record and his will.   Andrew was baptized February 25, 1806 in the Brush Creek Lutheran Church, Westmoreland Co., Pennsylvania.
