site you will find several of my
maternal grandfather’s
lines. My
granddaddy
was Steward Baker
(often
mispelled Stewart Baker), his
ancestor
REASON BAKER'S line is
the
main file;
it contains pictures,
documents
and many family stories.
In all cases I have tried to obtain
original records, old family records have been donated
by several Baker cousins.

CORRECTIONS/ADDITIONS:
I've included family history shared by other descendants and
researchers in addition to court/land/census/marriage records. Some
information might contain errors and I welcome any
comments,
corrections, or additions. I welcome new information on my ancestors
and their families and especially information on the ancestry of my
earliest listed Baker ancestor, Reason/Rezin Baker.

the information useful and if not that at least that you may be
entertained by some of the stories.
Since my retirement I
have made genealogy my excuse to travel. I have enjoyed the
research done in several states and many counties, I have done my
best to document each of my ancestors. When I have not been
able to do so I use the term "unproven" which, usually means that I
have not been to the area to locate primary
source documents and have depended on the research of
other's. I try not to fall back on the information found on
the Internet but in the early days of my genealogical quest I did
not know better and as a result some of this information may still
exist in my files. Whatever you find here is meant to be used
as a starting point for your own research, as always be careful and
document everything.
