Gertrude Porter Gertrude Porter was born 9 February 1902 in Cape Girardeau MO, the daughter of Finis Bayless and Jemima (Armstrong) Porter. She married 16 August 1920 in Benton, Scott Co. MO to Chris Himmelsbach who was born 17 September 1900. They were the parents of 3 children - Christian Jr., 3 June 1921 who died 16 May 1923, Eugene V. 9 April 1925 who died 2 December 1992, and Charles Edward 18 July 1933 who died 30 March 1956. Gertrude died 7 Jan 1978 and is buried at Memorial Cemetery in Cape Girardeau along with 2 of her sons Eugene and Charles. Her son Christian Jr. is buried at Lightner Cemetery.
