RETURN BODY FOR BURIAL
Charles Dolby, 60, (should be 69) of Near Montpelier died Saturday at Bridgeport IL: A former Southern Wells County resident Charles Dolby, 60 died at 2:20 AM Saturday at Bridgeport IL. He was a retired Ohio Oil Company Pumper. The body will be returned early Tuesday to the Walker Mortuary here where funeral services are set for 2 PM Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral chapel from Tuesday noon until time of the service. Born in Wells Co 29 October 1880 (Should be 30 October) he was a son of William & Rebecca Sills Dolby. His marriage was to Verda (should be Lucretia) Miller . Survivors in addition to the widow are three children Mrs Ellis Palmer of Bridgeport (IL), Ralph Dolby at home, Edwin Dolby who resides in Virginia, three brothers Elmer Dolby of Chicago, Roy Dolby of Muncie, Lewis Dolby of Penato and a half brother Vess Landis of Liberty Center. A son Verl lost his life in WW II. The decendent has a number of relatives in Buckmaster, Day and Morris Families. Mrs Orval Holdren is a neice.

DOLBY FUNERAL HELD THURSDAY
Further Particulars of Tragedy Which Resulted in Death of Woman Received in This City

Funeral Services for Mrs Charles Dolby who was burned to death Saturday evening in her house in Bridgeport IL where held from the Chester Center Church north of Montpelier Thursday. Burial was made in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Montpelier. Mrs Dolby was a daughter of Jess Day residing north of Montpelier. She has a number of relatives in Blackford County. Further particular of the tragedy which took her life have been received here. It is said that Mrs Dolby was burning trash in the back yard of her house when her clothes caught afire. All of her clothes with the exception of her shoes and waist ... were burned off her. She rushed in the house and put on more clothes before calling for help and when neighbors arrived they found her holding her hand in cold water. When the neighbor took her hands out of the water the skin dropped off of them. The lower part of the body was burned in the same manner. She died shortly afterward.
