The funeral of Christian L. Dolby, who died at his home in Lancaster township, of paralysis, was held this morning at the Lancaster church. Burial was in the cemetery near by.
Mary Stewart became the bride of Mr. Dolby at the wedding which took place in Polk township, of this county. Shortly after their marriage the couple moved to the farm where Mr. Dolby died. The five children surviving the death of their father are members of a family of ten children. The widow also is living.

Mary Elizabeth Dolby, 75, died at 7:50 am Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clifford Oden, west of Greenwood. She was stricken with apoplexy shortly after 6 o'clock and was carried to her bed but did not regain consciousness.
She was born May 13, 1848 to Mr. and Mrs. Coolman Stewart. Her marriage was to Christian Dolby November 3, 1869. To this union ten children were born. The husband and five children preceded Mrs. Dolby in death.
Surviving are the five children: Mrs. Lewis Myers, O A Dolby, I C Dolby, Mrs. Clifford Oden and Mrs. Ernest Favorite. There are also twenty three grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren surviving.
Mrs. Dolby has been a resident of Lancaster township for nearly 45 years and has been a member of the Pleasant Grove United Brethren church for a number of years
Funeral services will be held Friday, leaving the house at 10 o'clock and going to Lancaster where service will be held. Burial will be made at Lancaster Cemetery.
