OLDEST FIREMAN IN THE CITY, IS DEAD
Harry Hubert Dolby, 84, of 801 Maple Avenue, (Dubois PA) the oldest member of the Volunteer Fire Department, died last night at 8:25 o'clock at the Maple Avenue Hospital after and illness of two months. He had been bedfast three weeks.

He was born November 2, 1865, in Northumberland, Pa., and came to this community 70 years ago, and became active in the affairs of the city. He helped fight the fire of 1888 which razed the bustling lumber-town. He became a charter member of the Volunteer Hose company which was formed soon after the Big Fire. He was also a member of the Evangelical church and the B and O Veterans Railraod Employees Association.

He leaves four children, Mrs. LaRue Read and Ralph Dolby, of Dubois, Clair, of Rochester, N.Y. and Homer of Suesun City, California, three sisters, Mrs. LuLu Ledger, of DuBois, Mrs. Anna Boring, of Erie, and Mrs Agnes White, of Youngstown. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Seven children and his wife preceded him in death. Friends are being received at the Short funeral home where Rev. T. O. Fuss will conduct services Thursday at 1:30 p.m. and interment will follow in Morningside cemetery.

Mary Dolby passed away on Friday, a well known resident of this city for many years died at the family residence, 801 Maple avenue Friday evening at 5:30 o'clock, as the result of a several weeks illness due to complications.

The deceased is survived by her husband, Harry H. Dolby and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. M.M. Dailey, of Williamsport; Mrs. Effie Edwards, of Dubois; H.E. Dolby of Coalingo, Calif.; C.W. Dolby of Rochester, N.Y., Mrs. W. M. Read, of Dubois and R. E. Dolby, of Dubois. Her father, William Clinton, of Park avenue, two brothers: Ellis Clinton, of Sabula and Hart Clinton, of DuBois and one sister Mrs Ethel Keatley, of this city, also survive.

Funeral services over the remains will be held Monday afternoon at the home at 2 o'clock, and at the Evangelical church at 2:30. The services will be conducted by Rev. Barlett and interment made in the Greenwood cemetery.(This is incorrect - she is buried in Morningside Cemetery).
