Meredith Hoover Dolby was found dead Tuesday, Dec. 25 1979 at his home. Rt 2 Lafontaine. He was born Sept 15 1911 in Lancaster Township, to Isaac and Bertha Hoover Dolby. His marriage was to Marjorie Farley McClure.

Surviving are the widow, Norwood Nursing Center; two sons by a former marriage; three brothers, Donald Dolby of Roann, Harold Dolby of Rt. 6 Huntington and Dean Dolby of Rt 6 Huntington; two sisters, Mrs. Adam Wall of Huntington and Mrs. Harold Kindleyof Rt. 1, Andrews. A brother Howard and a sister Lela Watson preceded in death.

He was a member of the Pleasant Grove United Methodist CHurch and belonged to Brookside Lodge No. 720 F & AM and the Scottish Rite, both of Indianapolis.

Friends may call at the Bailey Mortuary where services will be held at 2 pm Friday with Rev. Carlyle Selple officiating. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Marjorie E Dolby, 72, died at 2:40 am Wednesday (Dec 14 1983) at the Norwood Nursing Center, where she had been a resident for the past 5 years.

Mrs Dolby formerly lived at Rt 2 Lafontaine, and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. She was a former music and school teacher in Grant County and Sarasota Fla.

She was born Jan 3 1911 to Wade and Rev. Flossie Derk Farley. Her marriage was on Oct 22 1962 to Meredith Dolby, who died in 1979.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Thursday at the Bailey-Schafer Mortuary where services will be at 1 pm Friday with Rev. Carlyle Seiple and Rev. Erma Roherer officiating. Burial wil be in the Lancaster Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.
