This indenture made this 19th day of October in the year 1819 between James Cloyse and Penelope his wife of Caldwell County in the State of Kentucky the one part to George Kesterson of Caldwell County and State aforesaid of the other part____. That for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to them said James Cloyse and Penelope his wife in hand paid before the signing and delivering of thse present the receipt whereof do hereby acknowledge hat bargained granted sol and confirmed by these present do bargain, grant, sell and confirm unto the saide George Kesterson his heirs and assigns ___all that tract & parcel of land situate lying ___ being in the County of Caldwell on the waters of the Muddy Fork of Little River and bound as followeth to wit: Beginning at two post oaks, and black oak then S 86 80 poles to two black jacks, and post oak, thence ___82 poles to a spanish oak sapling near a spring thence ___ 100 poles to the beginning containing 25 acres more or less to have and to hold the aforesaid tract of land with all advantages ___and appurtures thereunto belonging unto the said George Kesterson his heirs and assigns forever, and the said James Cloyse and wife for themsleves their executors, administrators and assigns do covenant and agree to and with the said George Kesterson his heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defent the afforsaid bargained, ___ the said George Kesterson his heirs executors administrators and of any other person or persons ----. Bounded by Jacob Collins 200 Acres,Andrew Collins Corner, James Colley corner in Andrew Colley line. Also one other tract containing 3 acres part of 100 acre survey pattented to Nathaniel Nichols and Andrew Colley by Christian County Court Certificate - Corner of Andrew Colley 200 Acre Survey on west side of the road leading from Hopkinsville to the Saline near a branch, with 400 Acre survey by James Colley. Acknowledged before, interlined before assign Ben P Campbell ,George Kesterson Jr., John Kesterson, John Rogers. Was transmitted to court of appeals 1 Jan 1825. Penelope appeared before the clerk 12 Aug 1824. James Cloyse appeared again 9 Dec 1824 and all acknowledged the transaction sound.

This indenture made this 8th day of January 1825 between Charles Johnson of the one part and Samuel Kesterson of the second part both of Cadlwell Co KY. Charles Johnson for and in consideration of the sum of $350.00 in commonwealth paper the receipt thereof is hereby acknowledged, have this day granted, bargained and sold unto the said Samuel Kesterson , his heirs and assigns forever, the following described tract ofor parcel of land situate lying, and being in the county of Caldwell. Bounded as follows: Beginning at a small post oak in a line of John Moores 200 Acre survey, thence with said line N64W 116 poles to a stake at Morris L west corner, thence S26 W 58 to a stake thence S 40 E 214 poles to a three small post oaks near a road thence N 10 E 100 poles to two black oaks and two small post oaks corner of John Bradleys 200 Acre survey thence N26 E 50 poles to four black jacks N of said 200 Acre Survey. Survey for George Kesterson - 30 3/4 Acres of land in Christian County on the Waters of Trade Water by Virtue of part of a Kentucky Land Office Warrant No. 16239. Beginning at a hickory on corner of a connection of survey made for Astin Samphrins thence with a line through N85W 190 poles to a stake another corner there of thence with another line through N5E14 3/4 poles to a stake Southwest corner of a survey of 200 acres made for the Trustees of the Caledonia Academy then with a line through S85 E178 8 poles to a hickory and hard oak at another corner thereof. Then with another line N5E croping the Rocklick Fork of Trade Water 178 8 poles to thru sassafras and a hickory sapling on the branch thereof in a line of a Survey made for John Collin then with said line S85E croping said fork 12 poles to a stake in a field of Samprins corner thence with hisline S5W 193 3/4 poles to the beginning. This indenture made this 15th day of May 1827 between John Kesterson of the one part and Andrew McFadden of the other part, all of the County of Caldwell and Commonwealth of Kentucky. Witnesseth that the said John Kesterson for and in consideration of the sum of $86.00 in hand paid him by the said Andrew McFadden the receipt whereof hereby acknowledged, have this day granted, bargained and sold and do by these present grant bargain and sell and confirm unto the said Andrew McFadin and his heirs forever all that tract or parcel of land containing by estimation 25 Acres situate and lying and being in the County of Caldwell, and bounded as followeth. To Wit: Beginning at a black oak in the line of John Kesterson adjoined by Andrew McFaden and thence S78W 6tpoles to two hickory thence S14 E 112 poles to a black oak and post oak in John Kestersons line, thence with Kesterson to the beginning. Together with all an dsingular, the appurtenances there unto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the said John Kesterson for himself, his heirs doth covenant and agree to with Andrew McFadin his heirs, that to him the McFadden his heirs the before and __ mentioned tract or parcel of land with all its appurtenances against the claim of all persons or manner of persons whatsoever will by these present forever warrant and defer. This indenture made this 28th day of Dec 1829 between Nathaniel Nichols of Caldwell County and state of Kentucky of the first part and William Kesterson of Caldwell County and the State aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said Nathanial Nichols for and in consideration of the sum of $1.00 to him paid and herefore acknowledged has bargained and sold to William Kesterson by those present. All that land confirming by survey 200 acres lying and being in the County of Caldwell on the waters of teh Muddy Fork and tract bounded as follows. Beginning at 2 black oaks J Bradleys corner, thence N 28 W ?? Poles to white oak thence N78 E 200 poles to a stake then S 150 poles to a stake 12 poles to a hickory and white oak corner Bradleys corner, thence N5E 90 poles to the beginning.

This indenture made this 24th day of March 1833 between George Kesterson Jr of the County of Caldwell and State of Kentucky of the one part and John Baker of the County and State aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said George Kesterson Jr for and in consideration of the sum of $300.00 to him in hand paid by the said John Baker the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted, bargained and sold and do by these present grant, bargain and sell and confirm unto the said John Baker his heirs forever all that tract or parcel of land containing by survey 112 acres it being that of a 250 acre Survey patented to said George by virture of a Christian County Court Certificate No 214 situate, lying and being in the County of Caldwell on the waters of the Muddy Fork of Little River and bounded as follows: Beginning at five post oaks corner of a 150 Acre survey of James Vaughns thence with his line S80 W 68 Poles to two black oaks and a post oak on the west side of a branch thence S5W 140 poles to three post oaks Garrats line, thence S89E 136 poles to two black oaks thence N5E 30 poles to Black Oak, thence with a line of a 200 Acre survey of Susanna Bradleys N20 W 182 poles to the beginning. Together with all and singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise ppertain and the said George Kesterson Jr for himself his heirs unto the said John Baker his heirs the above described tract of parcel of land with every tract or parcel thereof against the claim or claims of all persons or manner of persons whatsoever claiming, the same, by these present warrant and forever defend. This indenture made this Eighteenth day in the year of our Lord, One thousand, eight hundred. Between John Love by his attorney Philip Love of the county of Greene and state of Tennessee of the one part and William Kesterson Sr. of the county of Greene and state of aforesaid of the other part. Witness that the said John Love for and inconsideration of the sum of twenty-eight dollars and one- third to him in hand paid the receipt of which is herby acknowledge hath bargained and sold to the said Kesterson eight-five acres of land, lying and being in the county of Greene and state aforesaid. Beginning in Black Walnut on Lick Creek, then down the creek eighteen poles, then south twenty seven west thirty two poles to Gillespie's line then south with his line one hundred and twenty -five poles to a stake. Then east one hundred poles to a stake. Then north one hundred and thirty-five pole to as stake. Then west to the beginning containing eight-five acres together with all woods, waters, water courses, mines, minerals, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever to said land belonging or appertaining to have and hold to the said William Kesterson, his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim and demand of him the said John Love, his heirs and assigns and all other persons whatsoever shall and will forever warrant and defend by these present. This indenture made this Tenth day of April in the year of our Lord, One thousand, eight hundred and three. Between George Gordon of the county of Greene and State of Tennessee of the one part and John Kesterson of the said county and state of the other part witness that the said George Gordon for and in consideration of the sum of forty dollars in hand paid receipt of which is hereby acknowledges hath bargained and sold unto the said John Kesterson a tract or parcel of land containing one hundred acres be the same more or less, lying in the aforesaid county. On the North side of Lick Creek. Within the bounds of a five hundred acre tract granted to said Gordon and Stockley Donaldson. Beginning on the South bank of said creek at an Ash at the Buffalo Ford thence crossing the creek North forty-five east with Dunnigans line, one hundred poles to post oak; North twenty-nine West one hundred and eighty poles to Dunnigan's line. Thence with is line South two and a half West to Whites line. Thence a direct course to the beginning. With all and singular the bank unto water courses, profits, commodities, fundementals, appurtenances, whatsoever the said tract of land. Beginning or appurtaining and the revision and revisions, remainder and remainders rents, and profits thereof and all the estates right titles, interest property, claims and domicile of him the said George Gordon, his heirs and assigns forever, to have to hold the said piece or parcel of land with it's appurtenances to the said John Kesterson, his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful title claim and demands of all and ever person of persons. Whatsoever shall and will warrant and by these presents forever defend. This indenture made this thirty-frist day of December, in the year of our Lord, One thousand eight hundred and three. Between Saymore Catching of the one part and William Kesterson of the other part both Greene County and State of Tennessee. Witnesseth that whereas the State of North Carolina has issued a grant to Stockley Donelson, for a tract of land containing five thousand acres, lying and being in Greene County, and State aforesaid granted on the twenty eight day of August in the year of our Lord, One thousand, seven hundred and ninety-five and number one thousand three hundred and fifty-six and by S (2) Donelson, said grant was conveyed to John Love, ESQ. of _________ In his name said tract of land was sold and conveyed according to law to the before name Saymore Catching, all of which will fully appear in the registers office of said county. Now this indenture witnesseth that the before named Saymore Catching, for and in consideration of the sum of twenty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby fully acknowledged hath bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell until the before named William Kesterson, a certain tract of parcel of land being a part of the before described survey. Beginning at a white oak a corner of his old survey running thence south fifty-five east, one hundred and twelve poles to a pine. Then south twenty-eight east sixteen poles to a post oak. Joshua Bowling beginning, thence north forth-six east seventy poles, then north thirteen west, seventy -eight poles to a white oak the beginning corner of Pettit's survey from thence to the beginning containing sixty acres be the same more or less - together with all water, water ways, mines, minerals, hereditaments, appurtenances thereunto belonging or appertaining and the revision or revisions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof, and all the right, title and claim of him the before named Saymore Catching. Either in law of equity to the only profits use benefits and behalf of him the beforenamed William Kesterson Sr his heirs & assigns forever to have and to hold the before mentioned. Bargained premises to the only proper use and behoove of him the before named William Kesterson Sr his heirs and assigns forever, and I the said Saymore Catching for himself his heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, and against the lawful claim of any person of persons claiming by through of under them or any of them shall and will warrant and forever defend. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date above written, signed sealed and delivered in presence of: Saymore Catching Test: John Catching, Nancy Catching.

State of Tennessee Greene County
Personally appeared before me George W. Foute, Clerk of the County Court of Greene County. William Smith Sr and Hugh D. Hale, who being first sworn, depose and say that they are aquainted with the hand writing of Saymore Catching, and that they verily believe the signature of said Saymore Catching to the forgoing deed and to whose name the seal above is affixed is in the proper hand writing of the said Saymore Catching. That John Catching, one of the subscribing witnesses to said deed is now dead and that Nancy Catching the other subscribing witness to said deed, has removed from the State of Tennessee. Witness my hand at office this 9th day of February 1847.

This indenture made the eight day of May in the year, One thousand, eight hundred and twenty-three between John Kesterson Jr of the county of Greene and State of Tennessee of the one part and John Kesterson Sr of the county and state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Kesterson for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, alien _______, and confirm of land containing on hundred acres lying and being in the county of Greene on Lick Creek joining land of John Kesterson Sr and others. Beginning at dogwood, sugar tree and brick on the south bank of Lick Creek, thence west ninety four poles to a hickory and elm at corner to Gordon's, thence with said tract north twenty nine degrees west, one hundred and fifty poles to an elm on Whites corner. Thence with said line south and one hundred and four poles to a white oak. Thence west 14 poles to a post oak, Headrickscorner. Thence with said line south fifty five poles to a black oak on Hales line. Thence with said south fifty-seven degrees east, one hundred and eighteen poles to a stake. Thence a direct line to the beginning. With all and singular the woods, meadows, water courses,_________ profits, commodities, hereditaments, and appurtenances whatsoever to the said tract of land belonging or appertaining and the revision and revisions, remainder and remainders, rents and issues thereof all the estate, right title, interest property claim and demand of the said John Kesterson Jr, his heirs and assigns forever of in and to the same and every part and parcel thereof either in law or equity. To have and to hold the said one hundred acres of land with the appurtenaces the said John Kesterson Sr, his heirs, and assigns forever against the lawful title claim and demand of himself his heirs or and other person claiming under him and I further will warrant and forever defend by these presents. Between John Kesterson of Greene County and State of Tennessee of the one part and William Kesterson of the said county and state. Witnesseth that the said John Kesterson for and inconsideration of the sum of two hundred dollars in hand paid hath bargained and sold and by these presents doth bargain and sell to the said William Kesterson and his heirs and assigns forever a certain piece or parcel of land situated in the county aforesaid on Blacks Creek, running to Lick Creek, the water of Nolichucky River; Beginning at a red oak, thence north forty-three degrees, east one hundred & twelve poles to a white oak, thence south fifty- five degrees east to a post oak on the conditional line between William Kesterson and Joshua Bowling. Thence with said conditional line to the back line of said tract. Thence to the beginning containing one hundred acres be the same more or less together with all woods, ways waters, water courses, profits, commodities, hereditaments, and appurtenances to the said land belonging, appertaining rents and profits thereof and all the estate right title and interest property claim and demand of the said John Kesterson , his heirs and assigns forever will warrant and forever defend by these presents. Personally appeared before me George H Foute, Clerk of the County Court of Greene County. John Kimmons and Thomas L Hale, subscribing witnesses to the within named deed who being first sworn, depose and say said Kimmonsthat he is acquainted with John Kesterson sr the bargainor and that he signed and acknowledged said deed in his present about the time the same bears date - said Hale that he is acquainted with John Kesterson Sr, the bargainor and that he acknowledges said deed in his presents upon the 23rd day of January 1836. This indenture made this twentieth day of February. One thousand, eight hundred and twenty nine. Between Richard Scruggs of this county and Greene and State of Tennessee of the one part and Thomas Kesterson of the same county and state of the other part witnesseth that of and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars and to him the said Richard Scruggs in hand paid by the said Thomas Kesterson of the same county and state of the other part. Before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof the said Richard Scruggs doth hereby acknowledge and confess himself fully contented, and paid. Hath given, granted, bargained, sold, released, conveyed and confirmed, here by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, sell, release, convey, and confirm until the said Thomas Kesterson. One hundred and thirty two acres of land. Situated lying and being in the county and state aforesaid on the north side of Lick Creek bounded as followeth. Beginning on a small black oak on the north bank of Lick Creek, thence north fifty-one east two hundred and eighteen poles along Hurley's line to a white oak. Thence south forty-five east, one hundred and twenty poles to a white oak on Wilkerson's line.Thence south thirty seven and a half west, ninety pole to a white oak on Gordon's lines near the old road. Thence south seventy-five west, ninety poles to a small cedar near Gordon's Mill. Thence north eighty west thirty two poles to a white oak on the bank of Lick Creek. Thence north eighteen poles to a white oak. Thence south sixty one west, eighteen poles to a stake on the bank of said creek. Thence down the different meanders to the beginning. For one hundred and thirty two acres of land or be the same more or less together. Together with the woods, ways, water and water courses, mines and minerals, houses and buildings with every profit and advantage to the said land belonging or in anyway appertaining also rents, hereditaments, issues and profits to said Kesterson his heirs and assigns forever to have and to hold the above bounded land and premises. In fee simple ________ clear of litigation, trouble, or hindrance by from or under the said Richard Scruggs, heirs, executors or administrators or any of them or any person or persons by, from, or under them or any other person whatsoever in claiming or causing to claim the same; and the said Thomas Kesterson, his heirs and assigns may and shall forever except peaceably occupy and processes the aforesaid land and premises free and clear of every incumbrance or claims of him the said Richard Scruggs or any other peson whatsoever and he the said Richard Scruggs for himself, his heirs execute and administrators doth covenant agree to and with the said Thomas Kesterson, his heirs, executors and administrators or assigns for to convenet and forever defend the aforesaid land and premises unto the said Kesterson, his heirs an assigns forever against all and every claim or demand of said Scruggs, his heirs or any other person, whatsoever in claiming or causing to claim the same or any part or parcel thereof. This indenture made the 18th day of October in the year 1837. Between John Love of Greene County and State of Tennessee of one part and John Kesterson of the same county and state of the other part. Witnesseth that the said John Love, for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen dollars to me in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged. I the said John Love have granted, bargained and sold, and do so by these presents, grant, bargain, sell, alien, enforce and confirm to him the said John Kesterson a certain piece or parcel of land situated in the county of Greene aforesaid and bounded as follows. Beginning at a red oak on Gordon's line and running thence south with his line 236 poles to a stake on H.Dunigan's line. Thence S45 east 104 poles to a white oak, Bowling's corner. Thence a direct corner to the beginning. Containing thirty acres be the same more or less. To have and to hold the said piece or parcel of land to him the said John Kesterson and to his heirs forever and I the said John Love do by these present forever warrant and defend the said piece or parcel of land every part thereof to him the said John Kesterson and his heirs forever against the claims, right and title of all persons whatsoever who now do or hereafter may lawfully claim any rights, title or interest of or to the same of any part thereof. Witnesseth for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him the said John Kesterson Sr in hand paid by the said John Kesterson Jr the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged to be paid and secured, hath given, granted, bargained sold, released, conveyed, and confirmed and by these presents, doth give, grant, bargain, sell, release, convey and confirm until the said John Kesterson Jr on tract of land lying in the County of Greene and state aforesaid on Lick Creek, whereon the said John Kesterson Sr now lives. Bounded as follows; Beginning on an elm at Buffalo Ford, thence running south to Joseph Hales line, thence with said line to whom it interests the book line of my old line survey. Thence north thirty five west with said line to two post oaks and gum, near the mouth of a line conditional corner made between William Joseph and John Lester. Thence with said conditional line, north thirty four east, sixty two poles to a stake. Thence north twenty east sixteen and half poles to a white oak on the bank of the creek. Thence up the meanders of the creek to the beginning. Containing eighty seven acres of land more or less, together with the woods, ways, waters, water courses, houses and buildings with every advantage to the said land appertaining to the said John Kesterson , for his heirs and assigns forever to have and to hold the above described land fee simple granted warrantee claim of all title or hindrance by from or under the said John Kesterson Sr his heirs executors or administrators or any other person or person whatsoever claming. Personally appeared before me George W. Foute, Clerk of the County Court of Greene County. John B. Grigsby and Joseph Davis subscribing witnesses to the written named deed. Who being first sworn depose and say as follows to wit said John B. Grigsby he is acquainted with John Kesterson Sr and that he saw him sign, seal and deliver said deed upon the day it bear date. Said Joseph Davis that he is acquainted with John Kesterson Sr the bargainor and that he heard him acknowledge and saw him deliver said deed upon the day it bears date. This indenture made and entered into this seventh day of February, One thousand, eight hundred and forty eight. Between John Black and Juda, his wife, Daniel Kesterson, Isom B. Kesterson, John Kimmons, and Mary his wife of the one part; and Reuben Wisecarver of the other part, all of Greene County in the state of Tennessee. Witnesseth that the said John Black and Juda Black, Daniel Kesterson, Isom B. Kesterson, John Kimmons and Mary Kimmons, for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and seventy dollars to those paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and sold and do hereby convey unto the said Reuben Wisecarver a certain tract of parcel of land on BLACK'S in said county joining lands of Richardson Wilkerson and Samuel Wisecarver, containing one hundred acres more or less. Beginning at a red oak, thence north forty three degrees east one hundred and twelve poles to a white oak thence south fifty five degrees east to a post oak on the conditional line between William Kesterson and Joshua Bowling. Thence with said conditional line to the back line of said tract, thence to the beginning; and we the said John Black and Juda Black, Daniel Kesterson, Isom B. Kesterson, John Kimmons, and Mary Kimmons do bind ourselves, our heirs of severally to warrant and forever defend the title to the said land before mentioned with the appurtenances thereunto belonging against the lawful claims of all persons whatever unto the said Reuben Wisecarver his heirs and assigns forever.
