Daughter of Josiah & Hannah (DeHart) Johnson
Wife of Leland D Kesterson
The separate, smaller headstone, standing next to the large
double headstone, was the original monument with the name of Leland Kesterson
on it.
I suppose after Mary Kesterson died the family must have decided to get the
large double stone and just left the small one there to show where Leland is
actually buried.

Sarah Kesterson 1849 died before 1860
Mary E. Kesterson 1851 married Daniel Sims
Mary E Kesterson was the daughter of Leland D & Charlotte (McClure)
Kesterson. Mary was born in 1851 and died in 1958. Mary was married to
Daniel Sims on the 26th day of January 1871, in Lafayette County Missouri.
She & Daniel Sims are the parents of Robert, Mattie, Ernest & Carrie Sims. As of this date Mary seems to be the only child of Charlotte & Leland that moved to Oregon along with them.

Obituary Contributed by Tom Sims
Several nieces and nephews and many friends who feel that: "You cannot say, You must not say. That she is dead, She is just away. With a cherry smile and a wave of the hand, She has wandered into an unknown land. And left us dreaming, how very fair, It means must be, since she lingers there; So think of her faring on, as dear In the love of there as the love of here! Think of her still a the same and say, she is not dead, she is just away. Funeral services were held at Concord Church Friday, conducted by ev. G.N. Magruder. Interment in cemetery by the side of her husband. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Jim and Claude Raynes, Lloyd Sims, Horace Sullivan, Hubert Robinson and Bibby Sims. Harvey is probably his brother "George Harvey Kesterson" listed above
Not at all sure who Maxme is
Also buried in this cemetery is Emma Kesterson in plot # 134. There are no dates on the headstone.
The Plot # is the same as that of Leland and Mary - so can only guess that she might be a grandaughter.
