Obituary:

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of the Roses at Mish Funeral Home, Oildale, for Mamie Irene Burkett, 46, of 410 Minner Avenue, who died Saturday (9 September 1967) in a Bakersfield hospital. The Rev. Murry El Hall, pastor of the Oildale Baptist Church, will officiate with interment following in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Burkett was born April 14, 1921 in Sasakwa, Oklahoma and had lived in the community for 20 years. She was a homemaker for 25 years. She attended the Baptist Church. Survivors include her widower, Clarence W.; a son, Charles R. of Bakersfield; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Peaker of Bakersfield; two brothers Willie Knight of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Bolliver T. (Doc) Knight of Arvin; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Barrett and Mrs. Myrtle Gorum, both of Oklahoma City, and three grandchildren.

Obituary:
Vera (Thompson) Kesterson, 97, of Lubbock died Friday, June 21, 2002, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Kesterson was born Aug 10, 1904 in Rockwell County, Texas. She was a member and past president of American Legion Auxilliary and the 8 and 40 and a member of hardy Memorial Methodist Church of Texarkana, TX.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ben Kesterson, on May 19, 1966. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Earle Armstrong of Lubbock and Jodie Wilson of Texarkana, one sister, Lou Slater of Mineral Wells; one sister-in-law Minnie Kesterson of Texarkana, two grandchildren; thre great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 11 am Tuesday in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Texarkana, TX.

Burial will be under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home

Tony Earnest Kesterson, 43, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Mr. Kesterson was born Oct. 6, 1960, in Texarkana, Ark. He was an employee of Smith-Blair, office official for the Texarkana Bandits, former president of Oak Grove Mens Golf Association and member of Wake Village First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Kesterson of Texarkana; one daughter, Amanda Kesterson of Texarkana; his mother and stepfather, Laura and Ken Fomby of Texarkana; one brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Virginia Kesterson of Wake Village, Texas; his grandmother, Minnie Kesterson of Texarkana; one brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Sam and Karen Ball of Plano, Texas; and a number of other relatives. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua-Everett Memorial Chapel with the Revs. Bobby Fischer and James Wall officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Tony and Gayle Kesterson Scholarship Fund at Texarkana College, 2500 N. Robison Road, Texarkana, Texas, 75503.

OBIT:
Benjamin F Kesterson 55 of New Boston TX died at 4:45 AM Tuesday in a local hospital following a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 2 PM on Thursday in the Church of Christ at Tom. Burial was in the Tom Cemetery.

Mr Kesterson was born Aug 12 1915 at Ben Lomond (Sevier Co) AR and had lived in New Boston (Bowie Co) for the past 16 years moving from Clarksville TX. He was a mechanic at Red River Army Depot and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was a Veteran of WW II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs Lucille A Kesterson of New Boston: one daughter Brenda Kay Kesterson of New Boston. Two Sons John Henry Kesterson of Tampa FL and Danny Kesterson of Amarillo TX. Two brothers, Auile Kesterson of Daingerfield TX and Jodie Kesterson of Tom. One sister Hazel Burrell of Broken Bow and one grandchild.
