Kellie Cary, 89, of Route 2, (Highland Road), Dublin (Pulaski Co VA) , and formerly of Coeburn (Wise Co VA) , passed away Friday, April 25, 1997, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Jerry Evans, Route 2, (Highland Road) Dublin, where she made her home.

Born June 25, 1907 in Inman (Wise Co VA) , she was the daughter of the late Abby Hale Cary Sr. and Sena Kesterson Cary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Fritz; and two daughters, Lena Fritz and Jo Ann Coles; three sisters, Gladys McIver, Hilda Clark, and Sue McHenry; and four brothers, E. E. Cary, Vernon Cary, Robert Cary, and Maurice Cary. She was a former member of the First Baptist Church, Coeburn, and transferred her membership to the First Baptist Church, Radford.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Nell Collier, Ohio, Zola Ruth Tiller and Harry Tiller, Winston-Salem, N.C., Jean Evans and Jerry Evans, Dublin; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Ruth Cary, Oak Ridge, Tenn.; two brothers, Lyle Cary, Maryville, Tenn., A. H. Cary Jr., Chicago, Ill. A graveside funeral service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Coeburn, with the Rev. Lee Kidd officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Coeburn. Visiting will be any time Monday after 2:30 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski, or any time at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Jean and Jerry Evans, Route 1 (Highland Road), Dublin, Va. Also, the family will receive friends after the graveside service at Coeburn. If desired, contributions may be made to the Pulaski County Life Saving Crew, Inc., P.O. Box 368, Dublin, Va. 24084. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski, is handling the arrangements.
