Hollis Greene, 80 of Alexander Ark., born June 4, 1923 at Liberty Hill Ark, Howard County, to the late M.F. (Bud) and Ada Stone Greene died Thursday December 18, 2003. He attended Liberty Hill and Dierks schools.

Hollis was a retired jeweler. He was a proud member of Grace Missionary Baptist Church and the Faith Bible Class in Little Rock. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in five major campaigns in Europe. He was a member of the 517th Parachute Combat Team, the 460th Field Art. Bat. and Battery B. He earned five combat stars, an invasion arrowhead and good conduct medal. He served as a jumpmaster in the Battle of the Bulge. Hollis was predeceased by five sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by his wife Arsenia Greene, four sons, Edward Greene & wife Terri of Rock Springs, Wyo., Howard Greene of Bethany Ok., Rodger Greene & wife Chris of Romance, Ark., and Hollis F. Greene of Hot Springs; his stepchildren, Elizabeth & Barry Heller, Olen & Pam Barham, all of Hot Springs, Jo Milner of Little Rock, Tommy Milner of Dallas Texas, Debra Bohannon of Little Rock, Doug Bennett of North Little Rock, Nita Dodge of Alexander, and Dana Weeks of Maumelle, and nine grandchildren.

Burial in Harmony Cemetery, New Hope Ark.
