Charles Ivan Kesterson was born 02 September 1896 and died 07 February 1950. He was the son of John William & Sarah (Rousch) Kesterson.
Charles married his first cousin, Mercy Viola Benn on the 9th of February 1919 in Davenport, Scott County, Iowa. They were divorced at some point and then Mercy married Weir Chadwick in 1948. She died in Bonners Ferry Idaho in 1985.
Obituary:
Services for Charles Ivan Kesterson 53, 520 Monterey Street who died Tuesday, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Payne and Sons Funeral Home with the Reverend Della Shutts officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mr. Kesterson, a retired Southern Pacific engineer, was born in Illinois and lived here 27 years. He is survived by sons, Gerald of Bakersfield and Louis of Lost Hills; sisters; Delia Strunk of Bakersfield and Helen May Kesterson of San Dimas.

Ida Mercy Kesterson was born 08 April 1865 Pike County Illinois & died 17 March 1935 San Bernardino California. She was the daughter of Berry A & Julia Ann (Davis) Kesterson. Ida married several times, she was the wife of Mr. Smith, Phillip M Henry & Mr. Parsons. She was the mother of Ella Smith, Ethel Henry & Emily Parsons

He was the husband of Ethel Azalea Henry. Jack was the father of three children -

Harriet Kesterson Benn was married to the father of these beautiful girls, William Tollman Benn, on 17 September 1889 in Pittsfield, Pike County IL. Unfortunately the marriage didn't last and Harriet was married several more times in her lifetime.
The children were all born in Pike Co IL and Harriet treasured her daughters very much. Eventually the family moved to California.

Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel at Greenlawn Mortuary Friday at 10 a.m. for Harriett Elizabeth Neu, 83, of 1410 Monterey St., who died in a local hospital July 21 1957. The Rev. Della Shutts will officiate at the service and interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Neu was a native of Carthage, MO., and had lived in Bakersfield for the past 30 years. She was a member of the Unity Church of Christianity and the Royal Neighbors of America. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mercy V. Chadwick, 1106 Niles St., Bakersfield. Mrs. Violet C. Jones, 1325 Flower St., Bakersfield, Ida Mae Brown, 1106 Niles St., Bakersfield, Minnie D. Gard, Upperlake, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

They were married November 30, 1928 in Tulare County CA.
Ida was first married to Charles Albert McEuen on April 19, 1919. There were three children born to this marriage; Harriet Elizabeth, Mildred Louise and Charles Edward.
Her 3rd husband was Jay Cee Brown.
4th and last husband was Joe Floyd Hundley.

Harriet Elizabeth McEuen born 1920 = died 1928, was the daughter of Charles Albert & Ida May (Benn) McEuen. She was first married to Marion Dale "Jeff" Baker, Sr and then later married to Andrew Paulson. Both Jeff and Harriet are buried in Mountain Shadow Cemetery, in Sonora, Tuolumne County California. Marion Dale "Jr" (1939-1959), their son is buried near them.
