Sam Alvis Lively, 84, of Oliver Springs, died at Park West Hospital in Knoxville Wednesday. He was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Sam (Stella) Coker, Smyrna, Ga., Mrs. Mack (Mable) Ray, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Jack (Gertrude) Dinwiddie, Knoxville, and Mrs. Marvin (Pearl) Flatt, Cookeville; five sons, Dillard Lively, Kingsport, Jack and Rosco Lively, both of Oliver Springs, Frank and Alvis Lively, Jr., both of Knoxville; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy Russell, Oliver Springs, Mrs. Cindy Davis, Kingsport, and Mrs. Bernice Raphburn, Toledo, Ohio; three brothers, Jake Lively, Knoxville, Cleo Lively, Oliver Springs, and Bill Lively, Elyria, Ohio; 35 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren. Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is in charge.

Mrs. Rutha Lively, 78, of Oliver Springs, Tenn., mother of Dillard Lively of Kingsport, died in a Knoxville hospital at 6:45 a.m. Wednesday. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. In addition to the Kingsport son, survivors include her husband, Alvis Lively; daughters, Stella Coker, Mrs. Mable Ray, Mrs. Gertrude Dinwiddie and Mrs. Pearl Slack; sons, Roscoe, Jack, Frank, Alvis, Jr.; Oliver Springs; sister, Mrs. Opal Barber; 25 grandchildren and 21 great grand-children. Sharp Funeral Home of Oliver Springs is in charge of arrangements.
