Frank Columbus was the 6th child, and the 5th son, of Wm. & Hannah Kesterson. Frank was born 11 March 1876 and died 10 May 1972. He married Onie Lee Dwyer who was born 4 Jan 1883 and died 4 June 1917. Onie died less than a month after the birth of her twins Lela & Reuben.

Ollie May "Granny" Kesterson Barbre passed away October 28, 2003 at Dierks Nursing Center in Dierks Ark. She was born Nov. 10, 1905 to Frank and Onie Lee Dwyer Kesterson. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Rosalea Barbre of Dierks Ar, a sister Virgie Lay of Hot Springs Ar., four grandsons and wives, Steve Barbre, Larry and Sheila Barbre, David & Denise Barbre, and Billy and Kim Barbre all of Dierks Ar; three granddaughters and husbands, Sharon & Billy White of Dierks, Ar., Linda and Billy Christopher , Rose and Tony Tollett all of Prescott Ar.. eighteen great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, seveal nieces and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years William O. Barbre who died February 25, 1982 and a son Kenneth Barbre who died October 25, 2002. Services will be held Friday October 31, 2003 at 2 pm at Fellowship Baptist Church in Dierks Ar., Interment will follow in Fellowship Cemetery.

Obituary: Kenneth Elvis "Smiley" Barbre, was killed in an accident Oct 25, 2002. He was the son of William Oscar & Ollie Mae (Kesterson) Barbre. He was 69 years old. His mother, Ollie is in a nursing home and she has not been told about his passing. He was a good person, he would do anything for anybody. He is survived by his mother, Ollie Mae Kesterson Barbre, his brother, Edward Barbre, his wife, Mildred Turpin Barbre and a host of nieces and nephews. Burial was in Fellowship Cemetery Monday, Oct 28, 2002 at 10:00 AM. The Rev. J. W. Gilbert officiated. Wilkerson Funeral Home handled the services.

Obituary: Lela Ottis Kesterson Thornton, age 82, resident of Dierks, died Tuesday, Jun 29 1999 in Christus St Michael Health Care Center at Texarkana. Funeral services were held at 2 PM Saturday, Jul 3 in Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in the Fellowship Cemetery. She was born 12 May 1917 near Muddy Fork in Howard County; was a homemaker; and a Baptist. She was preceded in in death by her husband Webster E Thornton in 1972.

She is survived by 3 sons, Elmo Thornton of Columbus GA, Donald Thornton of Pueblo CO and Delland Thornton of Dallas TX; five daughters Dorothy Gilmore of Hugo OK, Vivian Lay and Leitha Martin both of Wichita KS, Judy Cornelius of Cove and Ellen Leeper of Lenexa KS, two sisters, Ollie Barbe of Dierks and Virgie Lay of Hot Sprints; 35 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Emily Evaleen Brown, age 66 of Dierks, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, May 21, 2007 in a Dierks Nursing Home. She was born March 17, 1941 in Dierks to Reuben Lester and Elma T. Porter Kesterson Bohanon. She was retired from Tyson Foods in Nashville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nashville. She loved quilting, photography, researching her family tree, working in her yard with her flowers, and collecting antiques especially Coke products. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her father, Reuben Kesterson, 2 nephews, Chad and Stevie Kesterson.

Survivors include: Her mother, Elma Kesterson Bohanon of Nashville 2 Daughters, Teresa Warren of Loyal, Arkansas Loretta Cogburn of Mena, Arkansas 1 son, Alan Brown of Dierks, Arkansas 2 Brothers, Arlin Kesterson of Eagle Town, Oklahoma Garland Kesterson of Dierks 1 Sister, Betty Runnels of Center Point, Arkansas 7 Grandchildren And a host of Great Grandchildren and other family and friends. Services will be Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at 2 pm at Nashville Funeral Home with David Blasé and Eddie Holliday officiating. Burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery under the direction of Nashville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday night from 6 to 8 pm.

Benjamin Jones Kesterson born in July 1886, died about 1929-30.

His wife was named Mary and he had at least 5 children.. Francis, Savannah, Olen, Lee and Velma.

Ben is the son of Hannah Parker Jones Kesterson. His father, at this point, is unknown but he was not a son of her husband William Kesterson who had died in 1881 - a good 5 years before Ben was born.
