Wild Rose Wisconsin - A former Wild Rose resident, Newton Walters, 69, Columbus, Ohio, died Friday in Ohio. Mr. Walters was born May 3, 1904, the son of Walter and Elizabeth Walters and married Miss Ginevra Acree on September 3 1936.
He was employed at the government locks at Sault Sainte Marie, Mich., until his retirement in January of 1967. Survivors include his widow: a daughter, Mrs Wendall Bearden, Columbus Ohio; two sons, Lynn, Des Plaines, Ill., and David, Sault Sainte Marie, Mich; three sisters, Margaret and Lois Walters, both of Wild Rose; and Mrs. Joe Ribble, Dixon, Ill. and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Wild Rose United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. William Blake officiating. Burial will be in Caersalem Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today, at the Holly Funeral Home, Wild Rose
