daughter of HENRY KING a chair maker and MARGARET HENSEN. ,
Marriage: Thomas was 20yrs and Emma 21 when they married in London in 1848.

1851 Census: Emma Cosham wife aged 21yrs, occupation Bootbinder,
No Thomas Henry mentioned he must have been else where perhaps at
sea on this census night, their 2yr old daughter Eliza is noted.
They were living No3 Kings Arch Place Parish of Newington County
Surrey. Next door at No.4 lived John Cosham a Blind Maker and his
wife Sarah.
Arrival Australia: Thomas Henry arrived Australia 14 August 1852
aboard the ship "Marlborough" then aged 26yrs, he was
travelling
alone. Emma arrived Australia prior to 1855 as a son William John
was born at Emerald Hill 1855.
Death of Emma died aged 35years 03 Jan 1889 in 38 Bevan Street,
South Melbourne.
2nd Marriage for Thomas Cosham: Thomas was 64yrs of age when he
married
Jeannie Adamson/Johnson,
in
1889 (reg. no. 1223).
Johnson was found to be Jeannie's surname on marriage
index entry, where I found Adamson I am unsure.
Death of
Thomas died at the same address on 17 Dec 1903 aged 78yrs
Emma & Thomas are buried at St Kilda cemetery.

Thomas Death: Thomas
died 1893 age 41years South Melbourne. At this time Emma had the task of
providing for herself and five daughters so she took in washing and
did housework.
2nd Marriage: When
she was 42years old Emma married JOHN GRIEVE
and in 1903 they moved to the
Upper Yarra where Emma became a cook at the Reefton Hotel.
Emma Death: Emma died 1933 at 19
Newman Street West Brunswick Victoria aged74years. She had spent one
1year in Tasmania
and 73years in Victoria.

Thelma being his youngest child.

Cosham Actress: Maude was in the theatre and possibly so was Albert
Burgin.
