Apparently after the death of their mother,
the girls went back (when Sarah was 12,
Mary 10,
Caroline 8, and Lydia 2) to Hebron CT in 1818
to live with relatives. This establishes the
relationship of Sally to
the Ralph Barber of Hebron, since the Coffins were not associated
with Hebron. Sarah and Mary both married at
Hebron, and Sarah
moved with her husband George and 2 children to Brunswick in 1834. The trip took 23
days, with a 3 horse team.
