Joseph and Penelope Bardin sold land to G.J.S. Bardin for $435.00 and for the love and affection they have for him. Land was located at Glenfork,Adair Co.,KY. Mar. 31, 1871. This indenture made and entered into this 31st day of March 1871 between Joseph Bardin & Penelope his wife of the one part and Gabriel J. S. Bardin of the other part all of Adair County Kentucky Witnesseth that the said Joseph Bardin & wife forward in consideration of the sum of four hundred & thirty five dollars to them in hand paid secured to be paid by the said G.J.S. Bardin & for the love and affection they have for him as their son they hereby give grant sell and convey unto the said Gabriel J.S. Bardin and his bodily heirs forever a certain tract or parcel of land lying in the County and State aforesaid on the waters of Glenfork and bounded as follows. Begining at a beech corner to Ghira Wesley thence N83 W8 poles to the middle of Glensfork thence up the same S37 W66 poles to a Stone on the west bank of Glensfork thence with the big road S15 W38 poles to a Stone by said road thence with same S10 E 22 poles to a beech tree Jesse Wilkenson's Corner thence with his line N66 3/4 E164 poles to a hickory & poplar stump thence N43 E13 poles to a white oak & two small dogwoods corner to Ghira Wesley thence with his line N36 E37 poles to two small oaks & a small white oak Wesleys Corner thence with his line N83 W120 poles to the beginning. Containing eighty seven acres (more or less). To have and to hold the said tract or parcel of land with its appurtenances unto the said Gabriel J.S. Bardin and his bodily heirs forever to their only proper use benefit and behalf. And the said Joseph Bardin & wife agree to warrant the title to the property hereby conveyed.
