IDA MAE NEWTON-WILLIAMS

1924-2004

Ida Mae Newton Williams, 80, of Louisville, was called home to her
Heavenly Father on Tuesday Nov. 16, 2004, at Norton Suburban Hospital.

She was the former Ida Mae Bardin, born on Feb. 12, 1924 in Fairplay,KY in
Adair County, the daughter of the late Henry Clay Bardin and Bettie Henager
Bardin.

She was a resident of Eastern Star Home, a homemaker and a seamstress and a
member of Louisville Chapter #391 Order of Eastern Star, Acklen Avenue Church
of Christ in Nashville,TN, and Long Run Baptist Church in Louisville,KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James A. Newton and Edgar
Dalton Williams; four brothers, Henry Amos, Clay, Joe Addison and Leonard
Kendall Bardin; four half sisters, Annie Lee, Nanna Etter, Addie May and Lizzie
Fay; half brother Champ Bardin; one nephew, Harold Ray Bardin; and one great-
grandson, Jordan Lee Vincent.

She is survived by her daughter, Janice Newton Reed(William) of Louisville;
a sister, LouVena Page Leigh of Columbia,KY; grandsons, Truman Lee Vincent
II and James Dalton Vincent, both of Shepherdsville,KY; great-grandsons,
Jarrod Glenn and Joshua Ray Vincent of Bardstown,KY; a great-granddaughter,
Rebecca Lynn Vincent and numerous nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. EST Saturday Nov. 20, 2004,
at Highlands Family Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Burial
will be held at 2:30 p.m. CST Saturday at Bardin Cemetery in Fairplay,
KY. Visitation will be from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. EST Friday, Nov. 19, 2004
at Highlands.
