MARCH 10, 1815 - APRIL 5, 1879

William Blueford Barwick was the grandson of William Blueford and Elizabeth Phillips Barwick.

William was born in Washington County, Georgia on March 10, 1815 to John J and Unkn Register Barwick. At sometime between 1835 and 1849, William and his brother Jesse moved by wagon pulled by oxen to Thomas County, Georgia. William is listed in the 1863 Militia Enrollment of Thomas County, GA. May have fought in the Battle of Atlanta. It is known that he was wounded while serving in the Confederacy.

William is buried at Longbranch Baptist Church Cemetery in Cairo, Grady County, Georgia.
