Introduction

This page is designed as a resource for genealogical and family history information of four families:

  • The BATEMAN family which emigrated from Youlgreave, Derbyshire, England to Mariposa Township, Victoria County, Ontario in the early 1800's, including families married to these Batemans: The MARA family from Ireland to Ontario, and the PENROSE family from England to Pennsylvania to Ontario.

  •  
  • The ROGERS family which emigrated from County Monaghan, Ireland to Gananoque and Landsdowne, Leeds County, Ontario in 1822, including the RIDDELL family which emigrated from Scotland to the Perth town area, Lanark County, Ontario.
  • The WALKER family, descendants of the "Widow Walker" and her son Philip Walker, one of the early inhabitants of Rehoboth in the Plymouth Colony.  This includes information on the following allied families: EATON, READ, DEAN, ABELL, and BIGELOW.
  • The DANIELSON family, descendants of James Danielson who emigrated from Scotland in the late 1600's to Killingly, Windham County, Connecticut.  This includes information on the allied families of DOUGLAS, HUTCHINS, and WHITMORE, all Windham County families.
